Zabai is now looking for three EdTech professionals for a one-year Norec exchange who will work in our Dhaka office. The job will be to develop e-learning courses for youths in Bangladesh and other developing countries. The commencement date is planned to be February 2024, but an earlier start can also be possible. IT Developer
Zabai is an international e-learning platform provider based in Norway working in closely with different international donor agencies and NGO partners. We specialize in increasing accessibility to digital education through different software and hardware interventions. We are looking to expand our service platforms and expand into broader scopes with our platforms and are looking forward to hiring two dynamic and self-motivated individuals who can take our vision further.
We are looking for two IT Developers whose primary responsibilities will be:
Manage and maintain our server instances
Develop and improve on our LMS services including our Moodle instances
Assist with and perform routine maintenance operations on the servers
Develop deployment scripts and automation tooling for rapid deployment of instances
Work closely with the product owner and perform the tasks assigned by the product owner
We believe the candidates should have the following qualifications to be most effective and contribute effectively to the team:
Modern web platform knowledge (JS, TS, CSS3)
Should be familiar with raw PHP Codebase (MOODLE experience preferred)
Should be effective in both front-end and back-end development and should be flexible about either
Proficiency with version control systems like GIT
Familiar with both relational and non-relational database systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Should have familiarity with Python (Django framework)
effective systems testing skills
Furthermore, we require the candidate to have the following personal traits to work effectively in the workplace:
Self-motivated, structured and goal-oriented
Be a good team player
Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Cultural Sensitivity and respect towards diverse cultures
Be committed to adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct
The job is part of our Global Exchange Program where you will be required to stay for one year in Oslo, Norway immediately after your joining. During your stay, you are expected to be open and respectful of diverse cultures and are expected to learn from as well as share your cultural views with the rest of the team. The job will be full time and will follow the local office timing of Norway.
All holidays and leave days will be based on the Norwegian standard office hours and practices during your stay in Norway.
